Breaking Out? - Organic Acne Treatments are the only way to go!

You've seen it before. Too many times than you wish to count. Big, ugly, should-be-named, PIMPLES.

They appear, and usually at the most inconvenient of times.

We don't claim to be tree huggers  or hippies, but we do know that putting harsh chemicals on your face and into your body to cure Acne is NOT the way to go.

We don't often think of it, but our skin is the largest organ in our bodies. It reflects the state of our entire system and is usually a good indication of our internal health.

If you are breaking out like crazy, we recommend starting off with some of these tips:

  1. Drink at least 4 quarts of water a day.
  2. Try Taking Black Current Seed Oil, Borage, or Primrose Oil daily. You can get them at a healthfood store, or cheaply through us.
  3. You may also want to think on trying NatuCLEAR Organic Acne Treatments, Acne Supplements. They are fairly inexpensive, and help tremendously in clearing Acne, 100% organically.

If you're breaking out, organic is the way to go.

Homemade Bug Bite Treatments

Summer is almost here! You know what that means BUGS. Many of us go camping, hiking, and are generally outside during the summer months. Here are nine fun ways of battling those pesky mosquito bites!

Homemade Organic Eczema Cream

All of us here at Elysium Organics are delighted to share this with you. For all of our Herbalists in training this recipe is a MUST try! One of our head herbalists was on vacation and had an outbreak of her Eczema, but didn't have any of her herbs handy and came up with this recipe. We wanted to share as this recipe can be used as a daily skin moisturizer and preventative for eczema flareups.
HOMEMADE ECZEMA CREAM
Items needed:
  • 1/4 cup of organic oats
  • 3/4 cup of organic coconut oil
  • Few drops of rosemary oil {optional}
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

Recipe:
  1. Finely grind oats to a powder/flour consistency and set aside. {You can use a blender, food processor or a Magic Bullet type of appliance.}
  2. Over a low heat, melt the coconut oil in a pan until it has a liquid consistency.
  3. Add in a few drops of Rosemary Oil. {If you choose to add it.}
  4. Add ground oats in the pan and mix until well blended.
  5. Now, pour the olive oil into the mixture until blended.
  6. Once all ingredients are mixed, remove from heat and pour in to a small storage container.  Let it harden for several hours.
Apply to problem areas and feel the healing process almost instantly! ;-) This recipe lasts for a long period of time so enjoy!

  • WHY OATS? Oatmeal contains healthy fats. When they come into contact with your skin, these fats help to add moisture to soften and repair your skin.
  • WHY COCONUT OIL? Coconut oil works wonders as a moisturizer for all skin types, especially dry skin and aging skin, leaving you refreshed and looking wide-awake. The fat in the oil helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles without any irritation.
  • WHY OLIVE OIL? It is a great skin moisturizer, in part because it contains linoleic acid, a compound not made by the body, but which prevents water from evaporating.
  • WHY ROSEMARY OIL? Rosemary essential helps in toning your skin and removing dryness.
